Jared Silveira, Owner
Jared has grown up immersed in the construction industry, learning the ropes from his father, a custom design/build general contractor in the Lake Tahoe area. His passion for the craft continued to grow as he worked for various contractors while attending Cal Poly, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of general construction.
After earning his bachelor’s degree, Jared focused on design-build projects, where he found his true calling—creating spaces that seamlessly blend with their natural environments. This led to the founding of Native Landscape Creations, where Jared has built a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
With the success of Native Landscape Creations, Jared saw an opportunity to expand his expertise and help more clients. This led to the creation of Workhorse Custom Builders, where he now applies the same dedication to quality, attention to detail, and passion for design in every construction project. Together with his team, Jared continues to bring lasting value to every home and space they build.
Rhett Blanton, Project Manager and Lead Carpenter
Rhett is the Project Manager and Lead Carpenter at Workhorse Custom Builders, bringing over 15 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry. With a strong foundation in carpentry and project management, he ensures that every project runs smoothly, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
Starting as an apprentice carpenter, Rhett quickly developed a passion for building with precision and detail. His commitment to craftsmanship and problem-solving skills have made him an invaluable leader on the job site. As Project Manager, he coordinates all aspects of the build, working closely with clients and the team to ensure clear communication and top-notch results.
Rhett’s dedication to quality, coupled with his ability to manage multiple moving parts, allows Workhorse Custom Builders to consistently exceed expectations. Whether overseeing the construction of custom homes or managing renovations, Rhett is committed to delivering projects that are built to last.
